Jamie, Veterinary Assistant

Jamie attended Kirkwood Community College to obtain her Veterinary Assistant degree in 2005 after an internship with the Walcott Veterinary Clinic. She has always worked with animals, on her family’s farm or at the vet clinic. Jamie enjoys interacting with clients, pets, and livestock. Jamie is interested in helping the future farming youth by volunteering with the 4-H program. She has several pets and a cow herd, which she hopes to expand.

Shaya, Office Assistant

Shaya began professionally working with animals when she joined the Walcott Veterinary Clinic team. Her favorite part of her job is helping find the right course of action for the patient. She is interested not only in the world of veterinary medicine, but also in conservation. Shaya has one dog, Sadie, and three cats, but cares for many others who either don’t have a home or are just traveling through. Sadie, a rescue, was brought into the family as a puppy and has stolen everyone’s hearts (and cheese) ever since.

Amanda C., Office Assistant

Amanda became part of the clinic family in the spring of 2021. She has a background working with animals in a few different fashions. When she isn’t at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, whether it’s in the garage or at the races.
