Jamie, Veterinary Assistant
Jamie attended Kirkwood Community College to obtain her Veterinary Assistant degree in 2005, after an internship with the Walcott Veterinary Clinic. Jamie has always worked with animals whether that is on her family’s farm or at the vet clinic. Jamie enjoys interacting with clients, pets, and livestock. Jamie is interested in helping the future farming youth by volunteering with the 4-H program. She has a few pets and a cow herd that she hopes to expand one day soon.
Jessica, Veterinary Assistant
Jessica is working on her Veterinary Nursing Degree through Purdue University and has been with the Walcott Veterinary Clinic since 2010. She enjoys being able to help animals and that each day brings something new. Outside of work she loves making memories with her daughter and spoiling her senior dog Russell.
My favorite aspects for working at the WVC, you never know what’s going to happen in a work day. I’m a wife and mother of two beautiful daughter that are involved a bunch of school activities. My time away from work consents of running/watching them at their events. I currently have two dogs and a cat. I grew up in Walcott and love it here.
Shaya, Office Assistant
Shaya began professionally working with animals when she joined the Walcott Veterinary Clinic team. Her favorite part of her job is helping find the right course of action to be most beneficial for the patient. She is interested not only in the world of veterinary medicine, but also in conservation.
Shaya has one dog, Sadie, and three cats, Bagheera, Lenny, and Stitch, but cares for many others who either don’t have a home or are just traveling through. Sadie, a rescue, was brought into the family as a puppy and has stolen everyone’s hearts and cheese ever since.
